ORDER

Heard Mr.N.Anandakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.V.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the first respondent dispose of the revision petition which is pending before him.

3.According to the petitioner, challenging the order passed by the second respondent cancelling his patta, he has filed a revision petition before the first respondent as early as on 16.04.2012. The first respondent has also accepted his revision petition in and by his proceedings dated 31.10.2012. Despite receipt of the same, no final order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

4.Considering the fact that the above revision petition is pending from 2012 and without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to dispose of the above said revision petition within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving sufficient opportunity to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants, if any. No costs.
