ORDER

This writ petition is filed for Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to sub divide the land in Survey No.328/1 and record the same in the name of the Karaikudi Village Annai Arockiya Matha Church in the village records and to issue patta in the said Church name as per the order of the 2nd respondent, dated 22.11.2019.

2. Heard Mr. G.M.Xavier, the Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.M.Ramesh, the Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the material documents available on record.

3. The petitioner has relied on the order, dated 22.11.2019 passed by the 2nd respondent. However, it is not clear, whether the land was converted as 2/4

temple church land. Earlier the said land was earmarked as Natham land. Any conversion of land ought to be by the government and no other officials are having power to convert.

4. Considering the facts of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation as per Law. With these observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
