O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the lives and limbs of the petitioner and her husband.

2.According to the petitioner, the marriage between the petitioner and the third respondent's son was solemnized in the year 2011. They have blessed with two children. In such circumstances, there was a dispute arose between the petitioner's husband and the third respondent. Hence, the third respondent expelled the petitioner and her husband and locked the house and take away the key with him. In that regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent to take action against the third respondent. But, no action has been taken. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation, dated 29.10.2020 to the first respondent Police. So far, no action has been taken by the respondent police. Hence, the present petition.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 29.10.2020 and give police protection, if it is necessary.

Crl.O.P(MD)No.13132 of 2020 4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

5. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent police are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.10.2020. If necessary, the respondent police are directed to give police protection to the petitioner. If it is found that police protection is not necessary, based on the petitioner's representation, the representation shall be rejected and the same shall be communicated to the petitioner so that she can work out her rights in the manner known to law. 6.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
