Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents and the learned standing counsel for R6.

2. The case of the petitioner is that Patta No.1852 in respect of Ethilodu Village stood in the name of Alagar and his son Muthaiah in respect of the petition mentioned land. Their grievance is that patta was illegally mutated in favour of one Subbaiah S/o.Mallan. The petitioner seeks cancellation of the said patta.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader states that the petitioner's complaint has been taken note of and enquiry is being conducted by the fourth respondent.

4. The fourth respondent is directed to conclude enquiry into the petitioner's representation and pass order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the fourth respondent to pass order one way or other. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. Interested persons shall be put on notice before passing the order.
