PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to take action on the petitioner's complaint, dated 17.12.2019 under the criminal law in the light of the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Lalita Kumari Vs. ORDER
This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to take action on the petitioner's complaint, dated 17.12.2019.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, an enquiry was conducted in C.S.R.No.71 of 2020 and after enquiry the same was closed on 16.02.2022.
3. Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original petition is closed. However, the respondent police is directed to serve closure report to the petitioner. The petitioner is at liberty to take appropriate legal action in this matter. No costs.
