ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to issue patta in respect of the property in Survey No.607/4, 607/5 admeasuring 1 Acre 24 Cents situated at Pachaimalayan Kottai Village, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District by considering his appeal dated 19.04.2022.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the sole respondent.
3. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
4. It is the case of the petitioner that Panchayat land situated in S.Nos.607/4, 607/5 measuring an extent of 1 Acre 24 Cents in Pachaimalayan Kottai Village, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District originally belonged to his father. After the death of the petitioner's father 2/6
the petitioner and his brother are entitled to the said property. One Palanisamy Vagayara by producing forged documents obtained patta in their name in respect of the subject property. Hence, the petitioner preferred an application before the Tahsildar, Nilakkottai Taluk, seeking cancellation of Patta issued in the name of the Palanisamy Vagayara. The same was dismissed by the Tahsildar by an order dated 30.12.2024. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the respondent on 19.04.2025 and the same has not been taken up for consideration till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 19.04.2025 will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 19.04.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
