PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent No.2 to file a final report in Crime No.489 of 2021 pending on the file of the respondent police within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court. O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to file a final report in Crime No.489 of 2021 pending on the file of the third respondent police within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant. Based upon his complaint, a case in Crime No.489 of 2021 has been registered for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 417 and 420 IPC. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even after lapse three months, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that investigation has been undertaken and they will complete the investigation within a period of six months and will file a final report before the concerned Court.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.13168 of 2021 Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After filing final report before the concerned court, compliance report shall be sent to the Registry. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
