Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 18% per annum for the belated payment of retirement benefits including Provident Fund, Earned Leave Encashment Salary and Gratuity amount within the time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner was working as Senior Assistant Engineer in the respondent Corporation. He retired on 31.01.2020. His grievance is that his surrender leave salary has not been settled. 3.The issue raised in the writ petition is no longer res integra. It is squarely covered by the order dated 04.10.2021 passed by the Hon'ble Division Bench in W.A.(MD)Nos.1883 to 1892 of 2021. 2/4

4.The respondent / management is directed to disburse the surrender leave salary to the petitioner together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum payable from the date of their retirement till the date of actual disbursement within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
