Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent Nos.1 and 6 to take necessary action to celebrate the Punguni festival of Arulmigu Sri Muthu Peramma Aiyyanar Temple scheduled for commencing on 31.03.2017 strictly following the arrangements made on 14.06.1995 that was agreed by all the parties concerned by considering the petitioner's representations dated 14.03.2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

ORDER

After some arguments, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition with a liberty to file an application before the Joint Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Thanjavur Region, Thanjavur District, the third respondent herein. He has also made an endorsement to that effect. Granting such liberty, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. If the petitioner files the application, the Joint Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Thanjavur Region, Thanjavur District, the third respondent herein shall consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the parties concerned as expeditiously as possible. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
