PRAYER: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to remove the rowdy list opened against the petitioner in H.S.No.74 of 2014 dated as 08.12.2014 of Kanyakumari District.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to remove the rowdy list opened against the petitioner in H.S.No.74 of 2014 dated 08.12.2014 of Kanyakumari District.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that five criminal cases have been registered against the petitioner, which are as follows:

1) Crime No.492/13 U/s. 294(b),323,341,506(ii) IPC

2) Crime No.300/14, U/s. 448,294(b), 323,341, 506(i) IPC and 4 of TNPWH Act, 2002.

3) Crime No. 537/14, U/s. 294(b),353,506(i) IPC https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4) Crime No. 195/15, U/s. 448,427,323,294(b),506(ii) and 4 of TNPWH Act, 2002.

5) Crime No. 484/16, U/s.294(b),417,551,506(ii) and 4 of TNPWH Act, 2002 and 4 of TN Prohibition of Charging Exorbitant Interest Act, 2003.

4.However, the petitioner has given a representation to the Superintendent of Police on 14.03.2017 for removal of his name from the History Sheet. Under such circumstances, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.03.2017, in the light of Police Standing Order No.738 and pass appropriate orders expeditiously.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.(MD) No. 4145 of 2017 is closed.
