*** COMMON O R D E R These Writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to consider and pass orders forthwith on the petitioners' applications, dated 09.01.2017 for the grant of 5+1 Seater Auto Rickshaw Permit (Share Auto) to the petitioners herein.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.Mr.N.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the Writ petitions are taken up for final disposal.

Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petitions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The respondent is directed to consider the applications of the petitioners, dated 09.01.2017, for the grant of 5+1 Seater Auto Rickshaw Permit (Share Auto) to the petitioners herein, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
