Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents no.4 and 5 to conduct survey and fix boundary in Survey No. 648 (Government Poramboke Land), Edirkottai Village, Vembakottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District and consequently direct the respondents no.1 to 5 to provide necessary protection for conducting quarry of rough stone by considering the Petitioners representation dated 10.05.2024 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for R1 to R5. Issuance of notice to R6 is dispensed with.

2. The petitioner was granted quarry license on 23.02.2024 to quarry the petition mentioned poromboke land. The grievance of the petitioner is that in the said site, some quarry had already taken place. All that the petitioner wants is that proper survey should be conducted and the boundary stones should be fixed. He also wants an inspection to be done to quantify and measure the 2/4

quarry that has already taken place. The petitioner's request deserves consideration.

3. The respondents 2 & 4 are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.05.2024 and take appropriate action as per law. The learned special Government Pleader states that within four weeks, they will be able to carry out the survey exercise.

4. Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
