ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash the order passed by the second respondent herein dated 15.05.2026, wherein, the request of the petitioner for conducting Adal Padal programme on 31.05.2026 has been rejected.
2. A perusal of the impugned order clearly reveals that it is based upon the presumption that law and order problem is likely to arise, in case, if Adal Padal programme is conducted. However, no concrete material has been placed in the impugned order. Therefore, the impugned order is liable to be set aside.
3. In view of the abovesaid facts, the order impugned in the Writ Petition is set aside and the second respondent is directed to grant permission and provide police protection for the Adal Padal programme to be conducted on 31.05.2026. The petitioner is directed to strictly comply with the Circular issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu in 2/4
Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019 dated 09.04.2019 and complete the function before 10.00 PM on the said date.
4. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
