O R D E R

The Petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to rectify the typographical error in the joint patta issued to him in Patta No.2725 in New S.No.374/2B and 374/5B2 in Old S.No.374/2 and 374/5 situated at Koomatchipatty Village, Sembanur Group, Sivagangai District 2.Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.It is the case of the Petitioner that he and the fourth respondent/Absara are entitled to 1 acre and 70 cents of land in the above mentioned survey number under Gift Deed executed by her father on 20.4.2011. A joint patta in the name of the Petitioner and his sister was issued in Patta No.2725. In the joint 2/6

patta, there is a typographical error with regard to the name of the Petitioner. Therefore the Petitioner submitted a representation on 28.4.2025 before the first respondent seeking correction of typographical error in his name. The same was not considered till date. Therefore the petitioner has come before this Court with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra. 4.Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent 1 to 3 would submit that the competent authority to consider the representation of the petitioner is the second respondent and hence, the Petitioner may be directed to give a fresh representation before the competent authority and the same will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the Petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation before the second respondent within a period two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such fresh representation, the second respondent shall consider the same and pass final orders on its own merits after issuing notice to the Petitioner,fourth respondent and other interested parties, if any, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt 3/6

of such fresh representation from the Petitioner.. 6.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
