Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents to dispose of petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2016 and consequently the respondents take appropriate proceedings against the Government Officials involved in the scam period from 2011 to 2016 and secure the Government funds within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the representation dated 18.11.2016 alleged to have been given by the petitioner and also for directing the respondents to take appropriate action against the Government officials involved in the scam period from the year 2011 to 2016, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.It is averred in the petition that the petitioner is a resident of Veriyampatty Village, Karur District. Further it is averred in the petition that the Government of Tamil Nadu has allotted certain funds under the scheme of Indira Ninaivu Kudiyiruppu Thittam. Some Government officials have swindled the said funds. Under the said circumstances, a representation has been given by the petitioner on 18.11.2016. But the same has not been considered and therefore the present writ petition has been filed for getting the relief sought therein.

3.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for all the respondents.

4.Considering the fact that the petitioner has given a representation on 18.11.2016, wherein certain allegations have been made against some Government officials, this Court is of the view to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to look into the representation dated 18.11.2016 and to that extent this writ petition is liable to be allowed in part.

5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondents 1 and 2 are strictly directed to look into the representation dated 18.11.2016 and dispose of the same on merit within a period of one month.
