ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 452, 294(b), 323, 506(i) and 406 IPC r/w Section 4 of Women Harassment Act and Section 3 of TN Public Property (Prevention of Damage and Loss Act) in Crime No.466 of 2017, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been arrayed as A10 in this case. A complaint was given by the College Professor on the ground that 10 students belonging to the College tried to attack her and abused her in filthy language.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submitted that on the date of incident, 10 students belonging to the College had attacked her and abused her and also caused damage to the furniture in the College. Based on the complaint given by the Professor, the respondent Police registered a case in Crime No.466 of 2017 for the offence under Sections 147, 452, 294(b), 323, 506(i) and 406 IPC r/w Section 4 of Women Harassment Act and Section 3 of TN Public Property (Prevention of Damage and Loss Act).

inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner on condition that the petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.1,000/- to the credit of Crime No. 466 of 2017 before the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Sivagiri. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Sivagiri and on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation. The petitioner shall comply with the conditions stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously. 6.The petitioner shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail shall stand dismissed.
