The petitioner has submitted representations dated 30.07.2016 and 02.08.2016 to the respondents for providing permission and police protection to conduct Vinayagar Chathurthi Festival, which have not yet been considered by the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court with the aforesaid prayer.

2. Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the

second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 05.09.2016. 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
