ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant permission for conducting Adal Padal programme in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariyamman Temple, Uraiyur, Trichy District on 21.05.2026 between 07.00 PM and 10.00 PM based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.05.2026.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, for the last four years, the temple festival was not conducted due to rival claims. However, the issue has been settled and both the parties are jointly conducting the said festival. However, for conducting Adal Padal programme, the second respondent has not granted any permission and therefore, they are not able to conduct it.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that in case, if both the parties jointly make an application for conducting Adal Padal programme, the same would be considered. 2/4
4. In view of the abovesaid facts, the second respondent is directed to positively consider any request for conducting the Adal Padal programme, in case, if it is presented by both the groups jointly.
5. In view of the aforesaid deliberations, the Writ Petition stands allowed to the extent as stated above.
