ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the first respondent to issue a passport to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's application in file No.MD1067573335925.

2. It is noticed that an FIR was lodged against the petitioner in Crime No.484 of 2016, dated 02.07.2016 on the file of the second respondent for the offences under Section 147, 148, 294 (b), 324, 307, 427, 452 of IPC and Section 3(2)(Va) of SC & ST Act, 2014.

3. The learned counsel for the second respondent submits that a charge sheet has been filed and the case has been taken on file before the Special Court for SC & ST cases, Sivagangai, in Special.S.C.No.18 of 2024.

4. Since the complaint has been taken on the file pursuant to the charge sheet filed before the aforesaid Court. The petitioner cannot ask any relief in this writ petition. However, it is open to the petitioner to approach the 2/4

concerned Court for appropriate direction to facilitate the first respondent to process his passport application.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above liberty. There shall be no order as to costs.
