PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to call for the entire records in relating to the FIR in Cr.No.99 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police and quash the same in respect of the petitioner. ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the sole accused in crime No.99 of 2026, on the file of the first respondent police seeking to quash the FIR wherein he is charged with the offences under Sections 75(2), 115(2) of BNS, 2023 r/w Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

2. Pending investigation, the parties have entered into a compromise wherein the defacto complainant had agreed for quashing of the FIR.

3. Today, the defacto complainant is present in-person and he acknowledges the fact that he had agreed for quashing of the F.I.R.

4. Considering the above said facts, F.I.R. in crime No.99 of 2026, on the file of the first respondent police is hereby quashed.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The joint compromise memo shall form part and parcel of the order. 03.06.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet: Yes/No RJR 2/4
