Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus or direction to direct the 1st respondent to survey and subdivide the land and to issue separate patta's for the land comprised in patta No.390 in survey No.6/1B to the extent of 0.36.50 hectare, patta no.1141 in survey No.11/1 to the extent of 0.56.50 hectare, patta no.1072 in survey No. 167/5 to the extent of 0.60.00 hectare Patta No.1089, in survey No.290/1B, to the extent of 0.94.50 hectare, patta No.1072 in survey No.172/2 to the extent of 0.94.00 hectare, Patta No.1072 in survey No.174/5 to the extent of 0.56.00 hectare, situated aty Pudur Village, Vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District and patta No. 460 survey No.69/5 to the extent of 0.31.50 hectare and patta no.460 survey No.37/1 to the extent of 0.60.

50 hectares at kolakattankurichi village, vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District and furthermore direct the 2nd respondent to give police protecttion while survey the above said lands based on the representations dated 03.11.2016 and 05.11.2016 within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

It is the case of the petitioner that she is in possession of the property in several survey numbers in Pudur Village in Vilathikulam Taluk, Tuticorin District and that there are civil disputes with her brother-in-law Subburaj with regard to the said properties. While so, the petitioner had given a representation to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the first respondent for surveying her properties and has now come up with this petition for police protection.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. It is seen that Subburaj has not been made as a party in this writ petition and therefore, no order prejudicial to Subburaj can be passed. However, when there is a request from the revenue authorities for police protection for surveying the lands in question, the 2nd respondent police shall provide necessary police protection.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
