ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Section 420 IPC, Section 25(1A) of Arms Act, 1959 and Section 7(3) of Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998 in Crime No.157 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant, the Sub Inspector of Police, Pettai Police Station, Tirunelveli District is that at the time of vehicle check up, the vehicle bearing registration No.TN-72BP-9889 (White Colour Ertiga Car), which was driven by A1, came there and when the police officials conducted check up, they found the lethal weapon (Val) and 40 pages ruled note and further it came to know that the first accused and other accused were selling the Kerala Lotteries in the Tamil Nadu and obtained more benefits from that business. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and the petitioner has not involved in any kind of offences. He would submit that the petitioner is running a Tea Stall at Gangaikondan and he has no necessary to sell the illegal lotteries. He prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that the petitioner has not only involved in the present case, but, other 4 previous cases in similar nature are also pending against the petitioner. He prays for dismissal of this application.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) and perused the materials available on record.

6. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the bad antecedent of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
