This writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus to the respondents to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house in Door No.9/388, Seethalaxshmi Nagar, Rasampalayam, Mannachanallur, Trichy District, based upon the petitioner's application dated 25.04.2025.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has made an application to the third respondent along with all necessary particulars, seeking electricity service connection to the petition mentioned property. However, the same is kept pending without consideration. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.It is informed by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents that the request of the petitioner will be considered within a short period as there is no violation of any Rules or procedure. Further, the connection will be given by measuring the distance between properties as governed under Rule 8.6.6 of the Standard Clearances and Spacings For Construction Works. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for TANGEDCO, the respondents are directed to complete the above said exercise and effect service connection to the petitioner's property in the event the distance is within the sanctioned limit under the relevant Rules. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 13.10.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Rmk
