O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.07.2016 and to give police protection to him and as well as his clinic persons and staffs.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.R.Mohan Raj, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Varusanadu Police Station is present before this Court.

4. It is the case of the petitioner that some persons claiming themselves to be representatives of Human Rights Organisation frequently calling the petitioner over phone and threatened him and demanding protection money. In this regard, the petitioner has given a complaint.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a petition enquiry was conducted on 21.09.2016, in which, the petitioner participated and has given a statement that he has not thereafter received any such threatening calls and that as and when any phone call comes, he will once again approach the police seeking appropriate action.

6. Recording the same, this petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent police as and when there is an attempt of any protection money from any self styled human group activists.
