ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to re-fix the seniority of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Headmaster of High School, by considering her representation, dated 28.06.2019, within the time limit to be fixed by this Court.

2.Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ

Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.According to the petitioner, she was appointed in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher on 05.09.1986 and thereafter, she was promoted to the post of B.T. Assistant on 12.09.2002 and she is working in the said post for the past 17 years. While so, to her shock and surprise, the first respondent, vide his proceedings dated 17.06.2019, has issued the provisional seniority panel for the year 2019, in which, the petitioner's name is found in S.No.1615, whereas, her juniors names have been included in between S.No.72 and S.No.1350. Hence, she made a detailed representation to the first respondent on 27.06.2019 to re-fix the seniority, but, no action has been taken so far.

4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents would consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2019 and pass orders, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.Recording the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.This Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
