ORDER
Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2. The petitioner wants the date of birth mentioned in his passport to be altered. He has given an application to this effect. The petitioner has enclosed his birth certificate in the typed set of papers.
3. If the birth certificate is true and genuine, the first respondent can very well act on the same. The first respondent is directed to pass order on the petition mentioned application for change of date of birth in the petitioner's passport within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is not necessary that the petitioner should be present in person or his original passport should be available. Based on the available records, the first respondent can very well pass an order.
