Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely "Innisai Katcheri" scheduled to be held on 10.04.2017 and 12.04.2017 at night in connection with the "Panguni Festival" in "Arulmigu Sri Poomariamman Kovil" at Vettarampatti Village, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tirunelveli District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.M.Muthukumar For Respondents : Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Innisai Katcheri in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is seen from the records that on 15.03.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

representation dated 15.03.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
