O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection for the petitioner's life and limb and his family members, based on the petitioner's representation dated 28.10.2020.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner reiterated the contentions set out in the affidavit. He further submitted that the petitioner is a senior citizen and there is a life threat to him from the respondents 3 and 4. The petitioner is having land with valid documents. However, the respondents 3 and 4 damaged the petitioner's fence in his land. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the official respondents. So far, no action has been taken. Crl.O.P(MD)No.13134 of 2020 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the official respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 28.10.2020 and give police protection, if it is necessary.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents.

5. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent police are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.10.2020. If necessary, the respondent police are directed to give police protection to the petitioner. If it is found that police protection is not necessary, based on the petitioner's representation, the representation shall be rejected and the same shall be communicated to the petitioner so that he can work out his rights in the manner known to law. 6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
