ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 08.04.2026 for the offences punishable under Sections 7, 8, 5(1) r/w 6 of POCSO Act and Section 351(2) of BNS, in Crime No.16 of 2026, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner committed penetrative sexual assault and also caused criminal intimidation against the victim, who is a minor. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He has been roped into the case, since he is the relative of the victim. The petitioner has no bad antecedents. Hence, prays to release him on bail.

4.The learned Counsel for State of TN (Crl.Side) would submit that in this case, the petitioner has committed penetrative sexual assault against the victim girl. Though charge sheet has been filed before the concerned Court, considering the grave nature of offence, he strongly objected to release the petitioner on bail.
5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence alleged against the petitioner and also the fact that the petitioner is none other than the Paternal Uncle of the victim, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
6.In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. (K M S J) 27.05.2026 PNM TO
