Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta to the petitioner for the residential house property bearing D.No.6/157-18, situated in Survey No.40/1 measuring to an extent of 2 cents in Puthiamputhur Village, Ottapidaram Taluk, Thoothukudi District in the light of G.O.Ms.No.43, Revenue (Ni.Mu(2) Department, dated 29.01.2010 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court by considering the application of the petitioner, dated 12.03.2010. Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent for issuance of patta in her name in respect of the property referred to in the Writ Petition. To that effect, he has already made a representation on 12.03.2010, which, according to the petitioner, has not been considered so far.

4. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, I only direct the respondent to consider the above representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, also after hearing the rival claimants if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
