For Respondents : Mr.B.Nambiselvan Additional Public Prosecutor O RDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.18 of 2022 pending on the file of the second respondent to the file of the third respondent and direct the third respondent to investigate the matter and file charge sheet in accordance with law.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the defacto complainant and initially, he made a complaint before the District Crime Branch, Madurai. Thereafter, it was transferred to the second respondent Police and the same was taken on file in Crime No.18 of 2022 for the offence punishable under Sections 120(b), 406, 420 and 34 IPC. However, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, this Petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner is ready to co-operate with the investigation. Hence, it would suffice if this Court directs the second respondent Police to 2/5
conclude the investigation within a reasonable time.
4. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent Police to conclude the investigation in Crime No.18 of 2022 and file a charge sheet within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
