Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant police permission to conduct the Annual Temple festivals and other cultural Programmes connection with the Ceremonies, Poojas in Kaliyamman, Bagavathi Amman, Mariyamman, Mandhai Karuppanasamy and Nalla Vinayagar Temple festival on 06.09.2016, 13.09.2016, 14.09.2016 and 15.09.2016 in the petitioner's village (Thavasimadai Village), Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul Dist on the basis of the Petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2016. O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant police permission to conduct the Annual Temple festivals and other cultural Programmes connection with the Ceremonies, Poojas in Kaliyamman, Bagavathi Amman, Mariyamman, Mandhai Karuppanasamy and Nalla Vinayagar Temple festival on 06.09.2016, 13.09.2016, 14.09.2016 and 15.09.2016 in the petitioner's village (Thavasimadai Village), Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District, on the basis of the Petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2016.

2. Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the

respondents.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the Annual Temple festivals and other cultural Programmes in connection with the Ceremonies, Poojas in Kaliyamman, Bagavathi Amman, Mariyamman, Mandhai Karuppanasamy and Nalla Vinayagar Temple festival are being conducted by the villagers regularly in order to promote harmony among public; that a representation was given to the respondent, but, however, the same was not considered by the respondent so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.

The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that in view of the anticipated problem, the Sub Inspector of Police of Sanarpatti Police Station, has given a request to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul, to conduct a Peace Committee meeting in respect of conduct of the annual festival on 06.09.2016, 13.09.2016, 14.09.2016 and 15.09.2016.

6.At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that as the programme is scheduled to be commenced on 06.09.2016, any order will be directed to be passed on or before 06.09.2016.

7.Considering the representation made on both sides, the second respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.08.2016 and pass orders in the light of the decision taken in the Peace Committee meeting preferably by 03.09.2016.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
