Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct Procession in the event of "Sri Ram Navami" by taking Idol of Sri Ram in a vehicle bearing Registration No.TN72-AZ-7615 on 05.04.2017 from 09.00 a.m. to 09.00 p.m. in the given way at Kovilpatti, Tuticorin District, on the basis of the petition dated 18.03.2017 given by this petitioner. For Petitioner : Mr.B.Rajesh Saravanan For Respondents : Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting procession in the event of Sri Ram Navami in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is represented by the learned Additional Government Pleader that the permission sought by the petitioner has already been rejected. Therefore, the relief sought in the writ petition has become infructuous.
