O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the 2nd Respondent to give adequate police protection to the petitioners life and limb and take necessary action against the 3rd Respondent on the basis of the proceedings of the Block Development Officer, Avudaiyar Kovil, in Na.Ka.No.1286/2021/Thi2, dated 18.04.2023 and the Petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2023, within time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Mr.B.Nambiselvam, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondents.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that because of the issue with regard to the damage caused to the drinking water pipe line, trouble has arisen between the parties. Over which, the above said representation has been given. On the above said representation, enquiry was undertaken in C.S.R.No.209 of 2023. During the course of enquiry, both parties have appeared and gave 2/4

statement to the effect that the above said damaged pipe will be restored at the cost of the parties. On the basis of the above said understanding reached between the parties and finding that no damage was caused to the water pipe connection, the above said enquiry was closed. Therefore, nothing survives for further consideration in this petition. 4.Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
