PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus restraining/forbearing the respondents not to utilize the temple lands to provide Free Patta Scheme by the Government of Tamil Nadu in regard to temple properties situated in the villages or Naatanikottai, Maavadukurichi East and West, Thondhupulikaadu and Athaloor Village in Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District which belongs to the ''Sri Veeramakali Amman Temple'' who is the actual owner of the lands for more than 100 years thereby consider the Petitioner's representation, dated 9.6.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court. The Petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus restraining/forbearing the respondents not to utilize the temple lands to provide Free Patta Scheme by the Government of Tamil Nadu in regard to temple properties situated in the villages or Naatanikottai, Maavadukurichi East and West, Thondhupulikaadu and Athaloor Village in Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District which belongs to the ''Sri Veeramakali Amman Temple'' who is the actual owner of the lands for more than 100 years thereby consider the Petitioner's representation, dated 9.6.2025.

2.Mrs.S.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4, based on written instructions of the fourth respondent in his proceedings in Oo.Ni.Tha.Pa.23/2025/Aa8, dated 13.6.2025, submits that the fourth respondent only sought for details of the present occupants of the temple lands in the above mentioned villages. There is no proposal to issue free house site patta to the occupants of the temple lands. The said statement given by the learned Government Advocate, based on written instructions, is recorded.
4.Recording the above said submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, this Writ Petition is disposed of . No costs.
