ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to grant permission and police protection for conducting Adal Padal programme scheduled to be held on 27.05.2026 at 07.00p.m. To 11.00p.m. in connection with ''Sri Ayyanar Sri Karuppasamy Sri Muneeswarar Sri Ulaganayagi Amman Pongal Urchava Thiruvizha Festival'' Keezhkuid Village, Aruppukottai, Virudunagar District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2026.
2. Mr.S.Sivasubramanian, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that the writ petitioner has submitted a representation, on 25.05.2026, to the second respondent seeking permission to conduct the festival and "Aadal Paadal" programme schduled to be held on 27.05.2026 between 07.00p.m. and 11.00p.m. and that since no order was passed, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner had given his representation only on 25.05.2026, and that there is a likelihood of a large crowd gathering, which may lead to a law and order problem in the locality if the aforesaid Aadal Paadal programme is conducted on the said date.

Considering the fact that the petitioner submitted his representation only on 25.05.2026 seeking permission to conduct the Aadal Paadal Programme scheduled to be held on 27.05.2026, and filed the present writ petition on 25.05.2026 itself, without giving any time for the respondent police to act on the petitioner's representation, this Court is not inclined to entertain the same.
