O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to disburse the compensation amount sanctioned to the petitioner under the scheme of Crops Insurance Scheme (Payir Kaappeettu Thittam) by the Government of Tamil Nadu in his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Insurance Account No.660 with the third Respondent in respect of the cultivation for the year 2010 to 2013.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he had duly insured his crops with the respondents 3 & 4 and on account of failure of monsoon, he approached them for providing compensation under the Crops Insurance Scheme (Payir Kaappeettu Thittam), but failed. Thereafter, he has submitted a representation dated 19.12.2016 to the 1st respondent in this regard and also for taking action against the respondents 3 & 4 for non-disclosure of his credit amount in the insurance. Though an enquiry was conducted initially on the basis of his representation, the same has been kept pending till now without any progress. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court with the above direction.

Under such circumstances, the 1st respondent is directed to complete the enquiry at the earliest and thereafter, consider the claim of the petitioner for disbursement of the compensation amount to him and pass suitable orders to that effect. The entire exercise shall have to be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
