ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 123 BNS and Sections 6(a), 24(1) of the Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2023 in Cr.No.217 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were found in illegal possession of tobacco products weighing 71 kgs. 1/3

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) for the respondent submits that the petitioner is having eight previous cases in which, four cases are similar in nature. 5.Considering the antecedents of the petitioner and the quantity involved in this case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
