O R D E R

Seeking transfer of investigation in Crime No. 6 of 2024 from the file of the fourth respondent to the fifth respondent office, the petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent police has not effectively contested the anticipatory bail application of the accused in Crime No.6 of 2024, which was filed before this Court in Crl.OP(MD) No.8606 of 2024.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents submits that the major portion of the investigation has been completed and they need two more months to file the final Report. 2/5

The Investigating Officer, who is present before this Court also seeks two months time to complete the investigation. 4.This Court considered the rival submissions made and also perused the materials placed on record.

5.This Court, while granting anticipatory bail to the accused, has called for a report from the concerned Government Advocate (Crl.side) and thereafter only granted anticipatory bail. However, considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Criminal original Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Madurai to monitor the investigation in Crime No.6 of 2024, on the file of the All Women Police Station, Samayanallur, Madurai.
