ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner with regard to Survey Nos.54/3 and 54/4A2 situated at Sanarpatti Village, Dindigul Taluk, Dindigul District based on the representation of the petitioner dated 07.06.2019 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.K.R.Laxman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

4.The petitioner, in order to get patta in respect of the land in S.Nos.54/3 and 54/4A2 situated at Sanarpatti Village, Dindigul Taluk, Dindigul District, made a representation to the respondents on 07.06.2019 and the same is pending with the respondents, especially, with the 1st respondent. Therefore, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, if the said representation is decided on merits, within a time frame, the petitioner would be satisfied.

5.I have heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, who would submit that, the said request of the petitioner would be decided on merits by the 1st respondent, within a time frame.

6.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following direction:

"The 1st respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.6.2019 and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, after conducting an enquiry as to whether the plea raised by the petitioner in the said representation can be accepted or not and accordingly, pass final orders thereon, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

7.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
