O R D E R

The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and protection to conduct Kabadi Tournament 10.00 p.m on 24.06.2023 till 6.00 p.m on 25.06.2023 at Pullamuthur Road, Sathangudi, Thirumangalam taluk, Madurai district by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2023.

2. Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that they have been seeking permission to conduct the tournament for two days i.e., 24.06.2023 at about 10.00 A.M. to 25.06.2023 at about 6.00 P.M. He would further submit that they may be permitted to conduct the tournament on day time. 2/5

4. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that they are ready to conduct the tournament for two days i.e., on 24.06.2023 from 08.00 a.m. to 08.00 p.m., 25.06.2023 from 08.00 a.m., to 8.00 p.m.

5. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

6. The petitioner is hereby directed to give fresh representation to the third respondent by incorporating alternative place and on such representation, the third respondent is hereby directed to consider the same and pass orders immediately following the order of the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court passed in the case of C.Sathasivam Vs. The Superintendent of Police, Trichy District and another, in W.P. (MD).No.12535 of 2023, dated 24.05.2023 and in the light of the circular of the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai in Rc. 007301/Genl.I (1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019.

7. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
