PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to carry out the Petitioner's grand father's name as Karuppa Thevar, son of Kirani Thevar @Mayandi Thevar in the computerized patta for the property in T.S.No.53, Ward D, Block No.18 to an extent of 759 sq.ft situated in Kulath Theru, Cumbum Town, Theni District - 625 516 by considering the Petitioner's representation, dated 25.1.2025. The Petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to include the Petitioner's Late Grand father Karuppa Thevar's name in the computerized patta for the property in T.S.No.53, Ward D, Block No.18 to an extent of 759 sq.ft situated in Kulath Theru, Cumbum Town, Theni District - 625 516 by considering the his representation dated 25.1.2025. 2.Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1, 2 and 4. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the Petitioner, the subject property originally belongs to the Petitioner's maternal grand-father M.Karuppa Thevar. He executed a Settlement Deed settling the subject property in favour of his daughters Karupayee and four others under settlement deed, dated 19.3.2007. It is stated by the Petitioner that his mother Thangammal and four other settlees under settlement deed executed by Karuppa Thevar wanted to enter into an arrangement. However, they could not register any document in the absence of inclusion of Karuppa Thevar's name in the revenue records. Therefore the Petitioner submitted a representation, dated 25.1.2025 seeking inclusion of his late grand father Karuppa Thevar's name in the revenue records. The same has not been considered so far. Hence the Petitioner has come before this Court with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.
4.Even in the representation submitted by the Petitioner, it is stated that Karuppa Thevar had already settled the property in favour of his daughters Karupayee and four others including Thangammal. Hence, the Petitioner's request for inclusion of his late Grand father Karuppa Thevar's name in the revenue records cannot be considered, when he had already parted with his right over the subject property. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to 3/6
grant the relief sought for by the Petitioner. However it is open to the settlees under the settlement deed or their legal representatives to submit a proper representation before the respondents seeking inclusion of their name in the revenue documents. If any such representation is submitted by the settlees or their legal representatives before the first respondent, the same shall be considered in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
5.With these directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
