ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.03.2019 and to grant patta for the 0.08.25 Ares of land in Grama Natham Survey No.288/28 of Vadakku Veli village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.M.R.Sreenivasan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner, in order to get patta for a natham land, where, he is residing in Survey No.288/28 of Vadakku Veli village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District, had given a detailed representation to the respondents on 11.03.2019 and based on the said representation, decision has to be made by the 3rd respondent, Revenue Divisional Officer. Therefore, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, if the said representation dated 11.03.2019 is decided by the 3rd respondent on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, the petitioner would be satisfied. 4.I have heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, who would submit that, the said representation of the petitioner dated 11.03.2019 would be decided by the 3rd respondent, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, with the consent of both the parties, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition, at the admission stage itself, with the following direction:

"The 3rd respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.03.2019 and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

6.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
