ORDER

This Criminal Original petition has been filed to direct the learned I Additional Sessions Judge for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Madurai, to expedite and complete the trial in C.C.No.130 of 2022 within a stipulated period prescribed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the third accused in Crime No.353 of 2021. The case has been registered against the petitioner and along with two others for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c) r/w 8(c) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and now the case is pending before the learned I Additional Sessions Judge for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Madurai. As on date, the petitioner is in judicial custody and in this case, charge has been framed on 13.07.2022. Since the petitioner/A3 is in judicial custody from more than three months, he filed this petition to expedite and complete the trial. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that in this case, charge has been framed on 13.07.

2022 and now the case is pending for trial. 4.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), since the petitioner/A3 is in custody and charge has been framed on 13.07.2022, the learned I Additional Sessions Judge for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Madurai, is directed to dispose of C.C.No.130 of 2022 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
