Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The writ petitioner had served the third respondent society since 1989. He reached the age of superannuation on 31.05.2019. He was allowed to retire. The petitioner's grievance is that till date his retirement benefits have not been settled. The stand of the third respondent is that they are facing financial crisis and that they are unable to pay the petitioner's service benefits.

3. The stand of the third respondent is not acceptable. When the petitioner has served the third respondent as its employee, he is entitled to the benefits which are payable to him.

4. The third respondent is directed to settle the petitioner's service and retirement benefits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
