Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to look in to the grievance of the petitioner expressed in the representation dated 30.08.2016 and thereby accord permission to conduct the Vinayagar Chadurthi Festival by and to provide adequate police protection from 05.09.2016 to 07.09.2016 at Festival Place in front of the Perumal Kovil at South Street, Venkatachalapuram Lalgudi Taluk Trichy District.

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection for Vinayagar Chadurthi Festival at Venkatachalapuram, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District from 05.09.2016 to 07.09.2016 by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 30.08.2016. 2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. 3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents undertakes to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.08.2016 within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the undertaking given by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 05.09.2016.
