ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to take appropriate action against the third respondent, based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.05.2025.

2. The petitioner claims to be the owner of an Innova car bearing Registration No.TN 72 BB 5555. The petitioner's husband is a friend of one Venugopal, the father of the third respondent. At the request of the said Venugopal, the petitioner's husband handed over the said car to the third respondent. After the demise of Venugopal, the third respondent retained the said car. Alleging unlawful retention, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent Police and has approached this Court seeking a direction to the Police to act on her complaint dated 20.05.2025.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that, pursuant to the petitioner's complaint, an enquiry was conducted in C.S.R.No.206 of 2025, and the same was closed on 18.05.2025, holding that the matter is of a civil nature and directing the petitioner to work out her remedy in the manner known to law.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the second respondent Police to furnish a copy of the closure report to the petitioner, thereby enabling her to work out her remedy in the manner known to law.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
