Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.03.2017 to grant permission to conduct the Siruthondar Drama on 09.05.2017 and 10.05.2017 at about Night 10 P.M. to Morning 06.00 P.M. and to allow the petitioner to distribute "Annathanam" on 10.05.2017 in the function to be held at "Arulmigu Maha Mariamman Temple" which is situated in Ammankudi Village, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District and consequently give adequate police protection to the festival.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting the programmes mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 30.03.2017 a representation has been given.

4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has represented that necessary permission may be given to restrict time. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 30.03.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days. The second respondent is also having liberty to restrict time.
