This petition has been filed, seeking to direct the 3rd respondent to provide adequate and necessary police protection to conduct Kumbabisegam in the Arulmighu Sankiliandi Thirukovil, Velayudapuram, Samsigapuram Village, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District from 02.09.2016 to 08.09.2016.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous and therefore, the petition may be closed.
