Respondent Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2017 and direct the respondent to issue the deposit amount Rs.2,57,275/- which was deposited by the petitioner, in the name and style of G.Ignatius Thangaraj, fifth Class Contractor/Petitioner, Contract Licence No.k.ngh.4/23020/14 in registered No.227 for the public work for the period of 2009 to 2016.

ORDER

The relief sought for in the writ petition is for issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2017 and direct the respondent to issue the deposit amount Rs.2,57,275/- which was deposited by the petitioner, in the name and style of G.Ignatius Thangaraj, fifth Class Contractor/Petitioner, Contract Licence No.k.ngh.4/23020/14 in registered No.227 for the public work for the period of 2009 to 2016.

3. Though larger prayer is sought for in the writ petition,

considering the request now made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going in to the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.03.2017 on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders after providing opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
